2023 Health Partnership Summit

The National Institute on Ageing and C.D. Howe Institute’s 2023 Health Partnership Summit (HPS), will take place from September 29 to October 1, at the Prince of Wales Hotel, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

As in previous years, the HPS is an invitation-only event for top executives, thought leaders and policymakers in Canadian and international healthcare. Once again, we are assembling a stellar national and international Faculty who will guide the content and discussions leading up to and during the Summit.

The central theme of the Summit will be: Careful Considerations Around the Elephant in the Room: The Public/Private Health Care Dichotomy. Session topics will include:

• Setting the Stage: Real Facts and Truths
• The New Frame
• International Lessons from Which Canada can Learn
• The Other Elephant in the Room: Our Ageing Population
• The Firing Line: “What does success look like in the short term and how do we achieve it?”

The Health Partnership Summit will be off-the-record to promote candid discussion amongst the senior representatives from government, industry and academia. With a limit of sixty participants, the Summit will create a forum in which leaders can engage in frank conversations about concrete policy changes. The HPS is highly policy-relevant, and informs the research and output at the National Institute on Ageing and the C.D. Howe Institute.
